Summary
During my time at Forge3, I designed and implemented a product update to the ActiveAgency demo website. The ActiveAgency demo website is a tool that the Sales team uses to sell the product, ActiveAgency. The Content and Design teams use the ActiveAgency demo as a jumping off point for all website designs. Each iteration of the product is named a color. My role during the Purple update was to design a product that could be applied to different independent insurance agencies with enough versatility for the Designers to make the websites unique.
How I Got it Done
I met with Forge3’s CEO, COO, Director of Technology, and Content Manager to gather all of the data possible to represent our typical user.
Goals for the ActiveAgency Purple demo:
Give the user the ability to get a quote in a very obvious way.
Feature the independent agency’s contact information throughout the website, naturally.
Create an SEO friendly demo site by having specific templates used on certain pages with an SEO friendly page structure in place.
Highlight the importance of buying insurance from an independent agency vs a direct carrier.
After outlining the goals, I got to work by building out a website that could be easily customized from client to client. I met with the Leadership team throughout this process to get approval and reiterate.

The ActiveAgency Purple Process
Step One: After the sales team sells the account, the Production team clones the ActiveAgency Purple demo to start website creation.
Step Two: The Content and Design teams customize the demo for the independent insurance agency. During this time, the client can review the website and make changes as the ActiveAgency Platform allows.
Step Three: After the client approves the website build, the Production team launches the website.
